“Tee-off” Party at McLaren Launches ONS Foundation 5th Annual Golf Outing

On Thursday, April 25th, ONS Foundation for Clinical Research and Education donors, friends and Board members attended the 5th Annual Golf Outing “Tee-Off” party in the McLaren Greenwich showroom. The party, a celebration of this milestone year, was graciously hosted by Cynthia and Richard Koppelman and Miller Motorcars. Theresa Rogers-Matthews and Horseneck Wines presented a wine tasting of fine French wines that complemented an artful array of hors d’oeuvres by Watson’s Catering.  Attending the event were Golf Outing co-chairs, Dr. Michael Clain, Rich Granoff and ONS Foundation Vice President Vicki Leeds Tananbaum.  The Outing, presented in conjunction with Greenwich Hospital, is scheduled for Monday, June 10th at The Stanwich Club and will include a round of golf, lunch, cocktails, an elaborate buffet dinner, and silent and live auctions co-chaired by Rebecca Karson, Lauren Mazzullo and Amy Sethi. Professional auctioneer Philae Knight of Phillips auction house will direct the bidding during the live auction. Knight joined Phillips in 2007 and is now leading the New York office of Private Client Services.

Proceeds from the 2013 event will benefit Foundation research, education, and surgical fellowship programs. To strengthen the alliance already shared with Greenwich Hospital, the ONS Foundation, in partnership with the Yale University fellowship program, would grant training to an orthopaedic surgeon who seeks expertise in shoulder and elbow surgery.  Foundation President, Dr. Paul Sethi said, “…the ultimate goal is to create a comprehensive experience into the diagnosis and treatment of problems related to the upper extremities.”
