Cycling

Cycling is not only a low-impact exercise enjoyed by people of all ages but also a very effective workout. Considering the thousands of miles of new bicycle lanes in cities across the United States, it’s no surprise that people are jumping on the bicycle bandwagon! Regular cycling has many health benefits.

The ONSF Community Outreach Program for Safe Cycling provides information on injury prevention and treatment, in addition to tips on safe cycling practices. Presentations are provided by Dr. Gloria Cohen, Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician, with a strong background in the sport of cycling. Dr. Cohen is accompanied by physical therapists who conduct interactive demonstrations on proper stretching, strengthening and conditioning techniques.
