ONSF Welcomes NCC Students for Round #2!
For the second time this year, ONSF welcomed Norwalk Community College (NCC) Physical Therapy Assistant students, continuing our partnership.
The 12 students joined us on November 2nd & 3rd and November 30th & December 1st for the “Observation of Upper and Lower Extremity Dissection with Clinical Instruction” course which took place at the ONSF Arthroscopy Surgical Skills and Biomechanical Research Lab. Orthopedic Surgeons mentored the students who enhanced their education by exploring the anatomy first-hand instead of learning only through textbooks. Lab sessions consisting of hands-on dissection with detailed clinical instruction were provided.
The following is a note from Roger Silva, PT, DPT, Clinical Education Coordinator of the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at NCC:
We completed our laboratory sessions today and I want to THANK YOU for your partnership and friendship in allowing this project to continue. As always, it was a tremendous experience for the students and they all loved it!
